From February 5 to 7, at the invitation of Professor Peter CK Lueng, Vice Director of the Faculty of Medicine of University of British Columbia (UBC) of Canada, Professor Huang Hefeng, Director of CWI International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital, visited the Children’s and Women’s Hospital affiliated to UBC Faculty of Medicine, and introduced the principles, features and history of CWI International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital.

　　Professor Huang Hefeng had a discussion with the Canadian researchers on the subjects of common concern in such fields as reproduction, placenta and ovarian cancer. She also made deployment for the projects that have received the 2014 supportive fund jointly granted by the Public Health Agency of Canada and the National Natural Science Foundation of China and went to see the doctoral students at UBC co-cultivated by China and Canada.

　　During her stay in Canada, Professor Huang Hefeng had a meeting with Cudiff, Professor of UBC and Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Greater Vancouver region. The meeting gave birth to the agreement of cooperation in the establishment of a joint laboratory of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and UBC for obstetrics and gynecology research. A number of young scholars expressed their wishes to come back to China to work for the International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital.
