| Recently, Ms. Liu, with her delegation from Presbyterian Ladies’ College Sydney of Australia (PLC Sydney), paid a visit to China Welfare Institute (CWI). Wang Luning, Vice Chairwoman of CWI, warmly received the distinguished guests from afar. PLC Sydney is an outstanding private female school that provides education from kindergarten to the twelfth grade. Founded in 1888, it has a long history of approximately 130 years. Locating in picturesque Croydon in New South Wales, PLC Sydney covers an area of 4.4 hectares,with traditional buildings and gardens of the 19th century, land modern facilities as well. The guests visited the History Exhibition Hall of CWI to get a comprehensive understanding of the history of CWI and its undertakings concerning women and children. Ms. Liu introduced the information of PLC Sydney and the art activities it has been currently carried out. She was very interested in the characteristic education provided by the preschool education institutions affiliated to CWI. In addition, she expressed her wish to cooperate and exchange with CWI in early education, children’s culture and primary school education. Wang Luning, Vice Chairwoman of CWI, extended an invitation to Ms. Liu, inviting delegations from PLC Sydney to attend Shanghai International Children’s Art Festival in 2014. Besides, Chairwoman Wang Luning officially invited Dr. William Mckeith AM, Executive Principal of PLC Sydney, to visit CWI next summer vacation. |
